Chula Vista Veterans Walk

For more than 13 years, The Chula Vista Veterans Walk has become a special event devoted to help support veterans during their twilight years.  Find out how you can help enrich the lives of those who served.  Through your contributions and participation, we not only help support their quality of life, but we work together and improve our own quality of life through service!

Founded in 2001 by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2111, Chula Vista Veterans Walk has been improving the Chula Vista Veterans Home quality of life for residents in many ways.  This event brings materials & services unavailable due to gaps in state & federals budgets.  Starting in 2013, American Legion Post 434 joined.  This year other organizations & groups have also come onboard.

LT Bobby Russell Price, USN(Ret) was a true patriot who served his country with pride, loyalty and distinction.  A force for positive change in the veterans community, he made lasting contributions through his work with The Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion,  Fleet Reserve Association, and Chula Vista Veterans Home Support Foundation.  In 2008, he was named the City of Chula Vista and San Diego County Veteran of the Year.  In 2011, he was elected to lead the VFW Department of California as State Commander.  Bobby departed for Post Everlasting on November 2nd, 2012.  He was one of the founding members of this event.
